Abstract
Coal spontaneous combustion normally occurs at goaf area in a coal mine.It is difficult to identify the spontaneous combustion area in goaf.This study establishes a mathematical model on air flow field and temperature field in goaf.Through the gas monitoring and the numerical simulation of coal spontaneous combustion in goaf,the area of coal spontaneous combustion in goaf can be identified.Therefore the model provides a good guidance for safe and efficient spontaneous combustion control.
