Abstract
To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Intense Pulsed Light(IPL)on patients with mild to moderate acne vulgaris.Seventy-two patients with mild to moderate facial acne vulgaris were treated by IPL with personalized protocol.One course of treatment comprised four times of operation with an interval of one month.Therapeutic efficacy was evaluated according to the comparison of photos before and after treatment as well as patient satisfaction.The total effective rate of IPL on acne vulgaris was 90%.Three patients felt slight discomfort and one patient underwent mild facial edema after treatment.IPL is a both effective and safe therapeutic method for mild to moderate facial acne vulgaris with a comparatively satisfactory cosmetic result.
