Abstract
A dynamic simulation method of traffic noise for elevated road was developed, which is composed of microscopic traffic simulation technology, noise emission laws and sound propagation model. The method is validated to be accurate with error of ±2dB and multi-index available by empirical results. Results showed that noise attenuation of safety barrier and sound barrier is influencing to 10 m and 26 m respectively above the road surface. Both traffic volume and designed speed affect significantly to the reduction of traffic noise while the height of sound barrier is not significant.
