Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the CT features of fungus infection of paranasal sinuses. Methods:CT findings in 17 cases with fungus infection of paranasal sinuses proved by surgically and biopsy were analyzed. Results:CT findings in fungus infection of paranasal sinuses always unilaterally involved, maxillary sinusis is mainly affected or other paranasal sinuses are involved simultaneously.the soft tissue within the paranasal sinuses presented as nodule-like or tumor-like,and there are some air bubbles and punctuated or banded calcification within the soft tissue.Part of the antrum is enlarged and the bone inside is of hyperosteogeny or destroyed, mostly accompanied by abnormal structure of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Conclusion:CT manifestations of fungus infection of paranasal sinuses are of characteristics,CT scan is of much value in diagnosing this disease.
