Application of clinical nursing pathway in nursing care for puerperal infections

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To determine the effects of clinical nursing pathway(CNP) on the patients with puerperal infections so as to set up the best nursing mode.METHODS A total of 96 patients were divided into two groups randomly,the test group accepted the nursing by CNP,the control group accepted the traditional nursing,and the nursing efficacy between two groups was compared.RESULTS Compared with the control group,the patient′s satisfaction of the test group was significantly higher(92.9% vs.75.0%),the difference was statistically significant(P0.01);the hospitalization duration was(6.5±5.0)d in the test group,(9.6±4.5)d in the control group;the hospitalization cost was(2520±520) yuan in the test group,(3715±320) yuan in the control group;the difference was statistically significant(P0.01);there were no cases of nursing errors in the test group and 2 cases in the control group,the difference was not statistically significant.CONCLUSION The CNP can improve the quality of nursing as well the relationship between the nurse and patient,and it is superior to the traditional nursing mode.
