Abstract
This paper discusses the artistic characteristics of Chinese classical gardens from the pursuit of literators on mountains and water,derivation from the nature,and building artistic concepts of open and peaceful mind,in order to probe into abundant traditional aesthetical thoughts contained in Chinese classical gardens,increase the knowledge level of people in Chinese classical garden,and offer a reference for garden designers.
