Zhang Zai's Proposal of "Conflict being Reconciled and Resolved" and Two Kinds of Dialectics

It is Zhang Zai's unique proposal that conflict must be reconciled and resolved.The two kinds of dialectics,generally speaking,refer to objective and subjective dialectics but in modern new Confucianism,there are two so-called dialectics,conflict lasts forever and conflict must be reconciled and resolved,according to which Zhang's dialectic is against the dialectic of contradiction.This paper holds that Feng Youlan's understanding and summary of Zhang's thought doesn't conform to the facts.Actually,the so-called opposition between the two dialects doesn't exist.Zhang Zai's proposal is only a stage and form of the dialect of contradiction.
