Abstract

This paper presents a new modified fast broadcasting scheme(MFB). It need less buffer requirment and disk I/O requirment than the fast broadcasting(FB) scheme in the same waiting time. And using this new scheme, if a set-top-box has no buffer, its user can still have the movie with half of the waiting time than the fast broadcasting scheme.
