Abstract

This study consists of 10 varieties which belong to typical japonica, typical indica ,indica-clinous ,japonica-clinous and upland rice. The density and size of stomata were measured with the desiliconization and scraping into shape method. The results showed that stomatal density of flag leaves has significant difference among types and varieties, which is a character of variety. Stomatal density of flag leaves,2nd leaves and 3rd leaves decreased positively under low light, which result from the increase of leaf area, stomatal band and stomatal distance between same stomatal band. Stomatal density of different varieties showed different change under low light. Low light has significant influence on stomatal length and width of flag leaves.
