Abstract
Objective To study the CT features of peritoneal cystic lesions. Methods CT findings of 20 cases with peritoneal cystic lesions were analyzed and compared with the operative and pathological results. Results According to the CT findings, 3 cases of serous or mucous cyst were found to be well-defined cystic masses. 4 cases of cystadenaoma or cystadenocarcinoma showed thickened cyst wall with nodules. 3 cases of mesenteric cystic tumor were depicted as bine-like lesions. In 3 cases of pseudomyxoma peritoneal, multiple cystic masses with septations were located in anterohepatic, posthepatic and subcolonic space respectively. 2 cases of cystic mesothelioma were confined to lower abdominal cavity and enhancement was observed within cyst wall, which was slightly thickened. 5 cases of abdominal hematoma, of which all patients had the history of injury, were revealed as well-defined cystic masses located within inter-visceral space in upper abdominal cavity. Conclusion CT can provide the informations of the position, shape and range of peritoneal cystic lesions, and has high clinical value in diagnosis and treatment.
