Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between homocysteine and hypertension. Methods Hypertension and control subjects are grouped according to sex and age, detect the total concentration of the serum homocysteine with enzymatic cycling method. Results Levels of serum homocysteine were higher in hypertensive patients than those in controls(P0.05),and males’serum homocysteine were higher than the females'(P0.05).Conclusion Homocysteine is an important risk factor to hypertension.
