Abstract

Objective To evaluate efficacy of multi-slice CT perfusion imaging for tumor angiogenesis in patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods 42 patients with peripheral NSCLC(malignant pulmonary nodules or masses) proved by pathology were studied with 16-slice spiral CT perfusion scanning.Four CT perfusion parameters of NSCLC including blood flow(BF),blood volume(BV),mean transit time(MTT),and permeability surface(PS) were recorded.Mircrovessel density(MVD) of tumor in 42 Pathologic specimens of NSCLC were determined by immunohistochemistry staining, and then MVD of NSCLC was correlated with its CT perfusion parameters. Results The BV,BF and PS of 42 cases of NSCLC positively correlated with MVD.Conclusion The CT perfusion parameters of NSCLC can evaluate tumor angiogenesis of NSCLC.It is a non-invasive and ideal way to evaluate tumor angiogenesis in living body.
