Abstract

The chemical composition of the concentrated solution in producing reconstituted tobacco leaves was determined by Fourier transform-near infrared spectrometry(FT-NIR) and conventional chemical analysis. Then a NIR analysis model was established based on partial least square regression method to monitor the major chemical components of the concentrated solution.As-established method was finally adopted to measure the total sugar, nicotine, chloride ion and potassium ion in the concentrated solution.Field test results indicate that as-established analysis model can be adopted to quickly and easily measure the chemical components of the concentrated solution, thereby helping to realize timely manipulation of the major chemical components of reconstituted tobacco leave.
