FEATURES AND COUNTERMEATURES OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF RESIDENTS IN HENAN DISEASE SURVEILLANCE POINT.

Objective:To acknowledge the features of accidental death in Henan Disease Surveillance Point during 1995~1999 and explore countermeatures of accidental death.Methods:Pattern of accidental death was studied by means of mortality and years of potential life lost.Results:The death rate of injuries was 50 35/100000.Standardized death rate was 50 21/100000.It was higher than the national level.Constitution ratio of accidental death(9 82%) was lower than the national level.Accidental death was the fourth in all cause sequence and the first in YPLL.Mortality rate on suicide in henan was close to the national level.The first was transport accident in urban and suicide was the first in rural.Conclusion:The accidental death loss is serious.To reduce transport accident in city we must publicize traffic regulations and improve road conditions.It will raise ability of psychological support to launch health education in high risk people in rural and ensure welfare.
