Abstract
Helical gear is widely applied,its design is important.The traditional design method of helical gear is approximation and coefficient modification.In this paper,the method and process of automatic modeling and analyzing about helical gear system has been provided,and the contacting analysis of helical gear system is also completed based on ANSYS and APDL.The new idea of helical gear design has been formed.Using it,the exact design of helical gear can be easily realized.The result shows that the more accurately contact stress values of helical gear can be acquired by our methods.Thus,our methods are correct and effect,and can be used as a new method about the helical gear strength calculation.
