Abstract

The main part of Yuquanxi Bridge is a three-span continuous rigid frame structure of prestressed concrete, constructed by cantilever casting. The quality of bridge construction is assured through monitoring measures such as artificial analysis, design of structural parameters, simulation of construction load, deflection calculation for cantilever construction and determination of the level for formwork erection. After identification of parameters and site test on stress, deflection and temperature, the construction monitoring proves effective and the data therefrom correct.
