Abstract
[Objective]To establish a method of simultaneous determination on cadmium and mercury in the water by vapour generation-AFS.[Methods]The conditions of the simultaneous determination on cadmium and mercury by vapour generation and parameters detected by atomic fluorescence spectrometry were studied.[Results]On the optimal conditions, the detection limit of cadmium was 0.03 μg /L,the RSD was between 1.1%-3.4% and the sample recoveries were from 98.6%-105%.The detection limit of mercury was 0.0075 μg /L,the RSD was between 0.68%-3.2% and the sample recoveries were from 102%-107%.[Conclusion]The method is rapid, convenient, accurate, sensitive and suitable for simultaneous determination on cadmium and mercury in the water.
