Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of pneumatic lithotripsy under ureteroscopy for the treatment of ureteral calculi.Methods 629 patients of ureteral calculi treated with ureteroscopic pneumatic lithotripsy were analyzed.Results Among the 629 cases,ureteroscopic pneumatic lithotripsy success rate was 93.8%,with the stones completely expelled before double-J stent was withdrawn.12 cases the ureteroscope failed to be inserted into the ureter.15 cases the upper ureteral calculi moved to renal pelvis.7 cases the ureteral perforation happened.And 5 cases had urinary tract infection.No patient had ureteral mucous membrane avulsion.Conclusions Treatment of ureteral calculi with ureteroscopic pneumatic lithotripsy is safe and effective.
