Civil Law:An Academic Discipline Growing along with China's Reform and Opening-Up

In the past three decades since China's reform and opening-up policy,Chinese Civil Law has developed from nothing to prosperity,from impassing and inheriting the existing knowledge to innovating and developing new knowledge.During this period,the research on civil law has not only provided important theoretical support for the civil legislation of China and established a sound theoretical system of civil law,but also engaged in extensive and in-depth exploration of judicial practice,thus making great theoretical and legislative contribution to the future study of the civil code system.In this process,a theoretical system of property law and contract law with Chinese characteristics has basically taken shape.In view of the 30 years of civil law achievements,China still needs to strengthen the study of local civil law,enhance the internationalization of civil law research,and pay attention to the diversity of research methods in order to establish a civil law system with scientific structure and advanced thinking.
