Cause analysis of desertification in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

The cause of desertification in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia was discussed on the basis of a great number of the field's information in this paper.It is indicated that the climate condition is the main natural factors leading to desertification.In recent 50 years,the precipitation showed a fluctuating decrease of(2%~5%)/10a.In the meanwhile,the temperature in the area took on a rising trend totally.It had caused the climatic drought day by day in the area.However,in the half century,the population and the lives stock increased greatly and it had badly exceeded the bearing capacity of the ecology environment in the area.The human activity is the main factor in the desertification and the Quaternary System loosened deposit is the material basis of the desertification in the area.
