Abstract
The article probes into the significance and values of the spirit of the Chinese traditional culture in modern libraries,expounds that the Chinese people from generation to generation have been encouraged and impelled by the concepts of humanism,the unification of the heaven and man,and the spirit of harmonious benevolence and virtue.The author believes that the humanistic spirit of the librarians have also been soaked and nurtured by the spirit of the Chinese traditional culture.
