Abstract

The main technical parameters and structure characteristics are put forward for the bogie of KZ4A passenger electric locomotive export to Khaskstan. In the light of the running environment and relevant Russian railway standards, the issues to be taken into account during the bogie development are presented. Detailed analysis and calculations are made to the locomotive dynamic performance and the strength of main components of the bogie. The bogie has passed the type test and running examination, covering a safety operation of 500 000 km.
