Abstract

The self-balance experimental method on pile bearing capacity has some advantages, such as low site conditions, short testing time, low testing cost, and so on. Then taking a continuing pile foundation engineering as an example, the static tests for pile foundation were conducted with self-balance experimental method, the processes of testing piles were simulated using finite element software ABAQUS,the mutual effects between upper pile bodies and down pile bodies were analyzed. Results show that the mutual effects between upper pile bodies and down pile bodies are less, and can meet the requirement of engineering precision. Through testing pile on site,we analyzed the load-settlement characteristics of pile body, the characteristics of pile axial force and the side friction characteristics of pile. Meanwhile, the results of self-balance experiment were equivalently converted into traditional results of static test. The results show that the bearing capacity of three test piles can meet the engineering requirement, and the results of on-site testing pile concide with the simulated results from software ABAQUS.
