Study on GUO Xiang’s Ideas of “Self-transformation”

Abstract

GUO Xiang is an important metaphysician in Wei and Jin dynasty. His “everything-is-self-transformation” ideas which contains the unique idea of duality to some extent solves the theoretical problem of PEI Wei’s theory. The content of his theory does not only deny the existence of “Creator”, but also the universal connections between things. Besides implying the idea of equality in some sense, the ideas turn into fatalism at last.
