On the problems and reform direction of case teaching method of present western economics

Abstract
Case teaching method plays an important role in course teaching of western economics.However,there is presently misunderstanding in the case teaching method such as relatively short of case resources,short of timeliness,insufficiently appro priate selection and use of cases,short of relatively systematic case of teaching materials of western economics,and unfavorable implementation of case teaching method in the aspects of course outline and examination methods.Thus,we should correctly deal with the relationship between case teaching and theoretical teaching,compile appropriate cases in time according to the reality of economic development,and correctly select and use cases in order to improve the teaching effect of western economics on the whole.
