Abstract
ALM To improve the surgical treatment of renal cell carcinoma (RCC)with inferior vena cava (IVC)tumor thrombus. METHODS Venaeavato-my , partial venacavorectomy and sectional venacavorectomy were performed together with radical nephrectomy in 4 patients diagnosed as RCC with IVC tumor thrombus. RESULTS No hemarrbea.pulmanary and renal failure occurred, and the procedures were succeeded. They have already survived for 13 - 34 months. CONCLUSION The three surgical treatment methods are recommended for the patients diagnosed as RCC with IVC tumor thrombus. The selection of them depend on the length, level and types of tumor thrombus.
