Abstract
Objective:To investigate the multi-slice CT characteristics of congenital aortic arch anomalies in children,in order to improve the understanding and diagnostic level of this disease.Methods:CT data of 83 cases with congenital aortic arch anomalies were analyzed retrospectively,and the images were reconstructed using multi-planar reconstruction(MPR),maximum intensity projection(MIP),minimum intensity projection(MinIP)and volume rendering(VR).Results:Obstructive congenital aortic arch anomalies were observed in 22 cases,including 17 cases of coarctation of aorta(COA)(combined with aberrant right subclavian artery in 4cases),5cases of interruption of aortic arch(IAA).Non-obstructive congenital aortic arch anomalies were observed in 61 cases,including double aortic arch(DAA)in 8cases,right aortic arch and right descending aorta in 44 cases,right aortic arch with aberrant left subclavian artery in 7cases,left aortic arch and right descending aorta in 2cases(combined with aberrant right subclavian artery in one case).Conclusion:MSCT can clearly demonstrate the aortic arch anomalies and associated malformations and has important value for diagnosis of congenital aortic arch anomalies.
