Abstract

Direct volume rendering is an important branch in scientific visualization area.It is one of the most active visualization technolo-gy.The paper describes the principle of volume rendering,analyze its key technology and algorithm.And then,introduce the conceptions of Visualization Toolkit,discuss the process about how to use VTK to realize Ray-casting algorithm.
