Abstract
The experiment for drought resistance of eleven sugarcanes in new plant crop was conducted.The results showed that cane yield of Yuetang60 was the highest,increased by 24.2%,sugar content increased by 2.32%,sugar yield increased by 43.7%,in comparison with control variety ROC22 and with tolerance to rust disease.The cane yield of Yunzhe99/91 increased by 11.0%,sugar content increased by 2.30%,sugar yield increased by 28.21%,in comparison with the control,was characterized of lodging resistance and weak defoliation ability.The cane yield of Yingyu91/59 increased by 17.8%,sugar content increased by 0.53%,sugar yield increased by 22.0%,in comparison with the control and with tolerance to leaf scald disease and top rot.The characters of other varieties were comparable or worse than the control.
