An Empirical Study on Intra-industry Trade of SITC 7 between China and South Korea

In recent years,China and South Korea has become the most important trade partner to each other,and the mechanical and electrical products(SITC 7) has the biggest volume of trade in the import and export trade between China and South Korea and is the main source of South Korea’s trade surplus with China.With the G-L index,this paper analyzes the intra-industry trade in the mechanical and electrical products between China and South Korea,and the results show that the intra-industry trade is the main pattern of the mechanical and electrical products trade between China and South Korea,and the vertical intra-industry account for the main proportion of intra-industry trade in the mechanical and electrical products between China and South Korea.,and China is in the inferior status in the vertical intra-industry trade in the mechanical and electrical products between China and South Korea.
