Abstract

This paper compares distributed database with centralized database and indicates data fragment and allocation is the important aspect in designing distributed database.Then,it gives purpose principle and technique of data fragment and allocation,explains the transparency of distributed data,and illuminates the relation between data fragment and allocation simply.Finally it outlines some problems about data fragment and allocation in distributed database design.
