Abstract

Objective To approach the metaphase and long-term curative effect of TACE with PVA particle associated lipiodol in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods One hundred and one patients were randomly divided into pure iodized oil embolization group(L group,44 cases) and PVA particle associated lipiodol group(PAL group,57 cases). All patients were followed-up 24 months. Results There was a significant difference with the number of times was observed in PAL group and L group(3.11±1.06 and 4.25±1.42;t=-4.45,P =0.001).There are significant difference that the total efficiency of diminution percentage of tumor of 12 and 24 months were observed in PAL group and L group(Z=-5.455,P =0.001;Z=-4.254,P =0.001).Conclusion The metaphase and long-term curative effect of TACE with PVA particle associated lipiodol in patients with HCC is reliable and the methods should be extended.
