Advance on cucumber resistance to powdery mildew

This article introduced powdery mildew of cucumber including its pathogen species,characteris-tics,host range and distribution,differentiation of pathogenicity specialization and physiological race of Sphaerot-heca fuliginea and Erysiphe cichoracearum,inoculation method for identifying the resistance to powdery mildew,application of biological technique on research on pathogenic fungi,and genetic basis of resistance to powdery mildew in cucumber,and directions to research cucumber powdery mildew in future were reviewed.
