Abstract
The hydraulic turbine governor is very important to a hydroelectric generating set. The performance of the governor directly affects the operation stability and the reliability as well as the quality of the electric energy. The present hydropower stations mostly are designed on the principle of unmanned on duty and with a high automation level, so the safety and reliability of the turbine governor are much more important to the unit operation. The actual situation of the hydropower station should be fully considered for selecting the governor.
