Abstract
A pair of specific primers was synthesized according to Theileria sergenti internal transcribed spacers(ITS) gene in GenBank.Blood samples were collected from a cattle farm in Hunchun,Jilin province.T.sergenti ITS gene was amplified by PCR and cloned into pMD-18T Simple vector for sequencing.The result of sequence analysis was compared with those of 9 other Theileria strains available in GenBank and the phylogenetic tree was constructed.The result showed that T.sergenti Jilin strain is closer to American strain,followed by Theileria buffeli,but far from other Theileria strains.
