Abstract
With the development of network application, the traditional network application solution can't meet the design requirements of new-generation intelligentized network devices. The network processor has powerful packet processing ability and flexible programmable characteristic, so it has already become one of the key technologies used in next-generation network. After analyzing the characteristics of NP-2 network processor family, the paper presents the implementation of high-speed packet processing module based on NP, including hardware design, data flow description in packet processing and relational processing capability testing. Experiments prove that this design scheme can attain the high efficiency of packet processing.
