Abstract

Objective To observe and compare the effect and safety of patient-controlled intravenous analgesia with sufentanil and fentanyl after cesarean section Methods A total of 600 patients with ASA I-II who received cesarean section under continuous epidural anesthesia were selected. They were randomly divided into the sufentanil group(S) and the fentanyl group(F).Patient self-controlled intravenous analgesia was performed after operation.Analgesia doses were sufentanil 1 μg/mL and fentanyl 10 μg/mL,respectively.The self-controlled analgesia effects and adverse reactions were compared. Results Patients in both groups reported an effective analgesia. However group F had more adverse reactions and higher incidence rates of vomiting and nausea. Conclusion Intravenous analgesia with sufentanil for cesarean section is safe and effective with less side effects and can significantly improve maternal lactation and success rate of breastfeeding.
