Abstract

Objective To test the apoptosis of Jurkat cells induced by polypeptide 3A8 on the surface of phage. Methods After incubation with the polypeptide 3A8, Jurkat cells were stained with Annexin V and propidium iodide(PI), and then analyzed by FACS. The morphological changes of the cells were observed with transmission electron microscopy. Results The phosphatidylserine on 32.64% treated Jurkat cells were externa- lized. The apoptosis rate of the treated Jurkat cells was 25.41%, which were obviously higher than that in the untreated group. Morphological changes of Jurkat cells at different times were observed. Conclusion The polypeptide 3A8 on phage could induce apoptosis of Fas + Jurkat cells.
