Abstract
According to particularity of open-pit mining mode and constitutive characteristics of stope, end slope angle is the key factor of influencing economic benefit and production safety in open-pit coal mine. In order to ensure normal production operation, slope stability problems cannot be ignored. Combining with engineering geology and actual end-slope morphology in Haerwusu open-pit coal mine, the article adopts strength reduction method and limit equilibrium method for analyzing north end-slope slope angle, and determines the minimum stability coefficient 1.14 under the current state. Failure mode is the local failure in potential circular slip surface being located in the llowest high bench, north end-slope is stable in normal. The bottom bench height is the important factor of influencing north end slope stability, and can be reduced to 77 m in excavating and stripping location allowed conditions. Slope stability coefficient can increase to 1.26.
