Abstract
A CdAPO-5 molecular sieve hithcrto unknow was synthesized hydrothermally in the presence of the organic amine (TEAOH) which acts as the template. The crystalline structure ofCdAPO-5 was characterized by XRD, IR and electron probe energy dispersion analysis. The parameters of the unit cell were determined. All the results show that the structure of CdAPO-5 isof the AlPO4-5 molecular sieve type and cadmium atoms enter into the framework of CdAPO-5molecular sieve. The adsorption isotherms, thermal stability and catalytic activity were also tested. The results show that CdAPO-5 not only has great adsorption capacity, high thermal stability, but also has good catalytic activity for vapor-phase hydration of acetylene to acetaldehyde andfor the dehydrolysis of ethanol to ether.
