Abstract

NAT technology is to resolve the situation of IP address shortage,IPSec is an important protocol which can implement VPN in the network layer,,but they are not compatible.This paper describes the conception of NAT and IPSec,analyzes the incompatible of the two technologies,and discusses the disadvantage of realization with UDP encapsulation,and gives a solution to IPSec NAT traversal that combines the IKE with UDP encapsulation.
