Abstract
From the development of agricultural production and natural science,the conceptual framework of agricultural information system engineering was put forward after discussion of the formation,concepts and components of agricultural information science and agricultural information technology.The reality and function of agricultural information technology in China was summarized in 5 aspects:agricultural resources,agricultural disaster,crop yield estimation,environmental monitoring and evaluation,and agricultural production management and technological consultation.There were 4 main problems in the development of agricultural information technology under current situation.At last some suggestions were made on developing the agricultural information technology.
