Abstract
To reduce NOx emission of a turbocharged diesel engine,an electronically controlled check valve EGR system was devised to realize Exhaust Gas Recirculation. The scheme and EGR valve were elaborated. The control strategies of the engine's steady and transient conditions and the intelligent PID theory were studied. The test was carried out and its results showed that EGR system can achieve EGR ratio from 0~16% and help reducing NOx emission significantly to meet EuroⅢ emission regulation.
