AN ANALYSIS OF THE UPPER NAPPE STRUCTURAL PATTERN IN THE MIDDLE SECTOR OF A THRUST NAPPE ON SOUTHERN MARGIN OF JIULING

Abstract

：In the Fangxi－Yifeng－Cunqian area,the upper nappe of the thrust nappe structure on southern margin of Jiuling was formed by three rock sheets different in space and time thrusting southward and superposing one upon the other in succession． These structural sheets (composed of Mid－Proterozoic strata) controlled by three thrust faults are also different in structural pattern,lithologic assemblage features and aerophoto and satellite image characteristics．
