Abstract
Drum water level is an important parameter for safe operation of boiler.Because of improper configuration,installation,operation and maintenance,the differences between the observed value and the actual value are often found in drum water level measurement systems.There are always large deviations between different meters and unreasonable protection signal sampling.Those become hidden trouble for safe and stable operation of units.This paper summarizes and analyzes the causes for the existing problems based on the on-site investigation of drum water level measurement,water level protection operation in themal power plants in Zhejiang province,and presents the technical improvement measures to eliminate the problems.
