Abstract
We exam the financing behavior of China's listed companies using two samples, including companies publicly listed in 2000 and before 1996,respectivlely.Contrary to the equity financing preference widely supported by most researches on the financing behavior of China's listed companies, equity financing does not dominant debt financing or internal financing in most cases. And for both samples and sample periods, internal financing and debt financing are more than the equity financing.Based on these findings,we have to do further research on the financing behavior of China's listed companies.
