Effect of children's perception of parental marital conflicts on their peer relationships

Objective To study the impact of parental marital conflict on children's peer relationship,and to provide the reference for constructing harmonious family atmosphere and to promote the healthy growth of children.Methods By using Children's Perception of Inter-parental Conflict Scale(CPIC) and peer nomination scales,a total of 748 subjects were selected randomly from Grade 4-6 in Linfen City.Results Children's perception of inter-parental conflicts more frequently leads to self-attribution;Children's peer relationships were affected by the difference of gender and family background(family in rural/urban area);Children's perception of parental marital conflicts had a significant impact on their peer relationships.Conclusion Parental marital conflict affects the children's peer relationship,which has also influenced the children's physical and mental health.
