Abstract
The poor corrosion resistance is the primary obstacle to expand the application of magnesium alloys. The corrosion behavior, corrosion classification, negative difference effect and corrosion interface of magnesium alloys are introduced. Influence of impurities, alloying elements such as Re, Al, Ca, Zn etc. and phase structure on corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys are detailed and the development of anti-corrosion magnesium alloys is presented.
