Research on GIS Web services based on ASP.NET

Abstract

The paper discussed the basic principle that implemented geographical information Web services based on ASP.NET firstly. Then, it proposed a new software architecture of GIservices, and analyzed some key technical problems deeply, such as the design of application server components and Web self-definition components. Finally, it implemented a Web service prototype system. By testing on the Intranet, it was show that this prototype system had a good stability and high efficiency.
