The scientific ideologies and main research achievements of Prof. Z. R. Wang in solving the problem of engineering plasticity are introduced. All these ideologies and achievements have not only provided a new method for analyzing the metal forming process using engineering plasticity, but also advanced the plasticity theory itself.
